LINDA FREDERICKS is an award-winning author of both short stories and poetry. A career educator, she taught at the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels in Wyoming and New Mexico. She has published a number of short stories, flash fiction, and poems in literary journals including Red Mesa Review (University of New Mexico) and Perspectives (San Juan College). She has recently completed her first novel. Animals have always been an important part of her life, from dogs, cats, and horses, to pigs, sheep, and goats. TRACI HALES, MA. MFA. retired Professor of Writing, started the One Book/One Community program in her area and hosted a national award-winning radio show where she interviewed local authors. Besides reading and writing she leads writing workshops for senior citizens, wrestles with her many pets, plays the piano, and knits. ROBERTA SUMMERS is an award-winning author with a Creative Writing degree from San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. She is published in poetry and short stories and is the author of two novels. Pele’s Realm, a crime/adventure set on Hawaii’s Big Island, and Fatal Winds, a fact-based story about Downwinders and nuclear pollution. Her sequel novel, Pele’s Children, has just been released.
